If you have a chance to stop in chincha to eat, you can go to el Batan, very good restaurant, I've eaten there, shrimp risoto, ceviche, also in the bakery that its next-door to the restaurant you will have very good options, for dessert or snacks, Regards, Alex.

We went for Lunch to this place and they have one of the best ceviche in Peru. They use Halibut for the fish ceviche and the seafood ceviche is great too. Order the ceviche as an appetizer. We order as a main dish Lenguado con chalaca de Aguacate this is Sole Fish with Avocado Salad. The othe main dish was... More

The plates were huge! So maybe you wanna share. I ordered an appetizer for lunch, grilled octopus.. Very tasty. My family ordered fish, lasagna, chicken, and all plates were amazing. A bit o er prized though. The chupe de camarones was 70 soles. And most plates were between 30 and 50 soles. The place was nice and good service. Worth... More

El Batan is by the side of the busy and smoggy Panamerican Hwy on the side of a gas station, however it's no truck stop diner. It is a nice, clean, family friendly establishment serving a variety of local and peruvian dishes, fresh catch of the day fish and many different preparations. Overall a great and safe lunch choice in... More

I was pleasantly surprised when I was taken here thinking there wouldn't be much to offer in the area. Good selection of food, including deserts and have an English menu

We did not have food, but only picked up some snacks... which were fantastically delicious. Best empanadas de espárragos (asparagus) and alcachofa (artichoke) we've tasted in the country! Highly recommended.

We stopped at the have way point from Lima to Ica. We learned of a winery which we visited before continuing on to our destination. Food was amazing and reasonably priced as well.

Excellent food in this restaurant which is aside a fuel station. It is very big and have a very good staff. Attention to the passengers is very quick and good. All the dishes are great. Try "Chupe de Camarones" one of the best in Peru.

Lamb (Lomo Saltado) and Ceviche (Corvina. In traditional lemon sauce) were excellent. Great lunch following flight over Nazca Lines.

Fresh tiradito, well-prepared food and a bit of a surprise since it is attached to a gas station (which does nothing for its charm at all). Service is poor to average, and the food and ambiance here cannot compare to Mamainé a few km down the road. I think since this place is on a direct bus stop on the... More
