They have menus in English (we had already decided off of the French menu by the time we figured this out, though). Staff were helpful. Lots of locals at this restaurant. Food was good. Smoking is allowed inside which we weren't crazy about, but I think that's common. Hubby appreciated the beer.

This is a somewhat nondescript restaurant in the La Goulette District but don't let the outside put you off. Our fresh prawns in a light garlic sauce were so delicious and the price included a tasty fresh salad to start. A bottle of the local beer and a nice glass of tunisian white wine made for a lovely lunch. Our... More

As a vegetarian I was a bit cautious when I found that our tour included a lunch in a restaurant in Tunis because of prior warnings that Tunisia is 'difficult' for veggies. Not so. I found no problem at all and the meal at La Victoire was one of the best. The service, fresh food, and cleanliness of everything all... More

Like other posters, our lunch was organized by our excellent guide and tour operator on a shore excursion. No complaints here. We were seated and served promptly, service was friendly and efficient, the food good and fresh as others have described, the recommended local beer excellent and both the restaurant itself and the restrooms were clean and well-equipped. It was... More

over priced, yet still using tinned tuna and shrimp in the salads! Nice local wine. Plastic flowers, fish was fine except fried, not grilled as requested. Nice view from upstairs.

We had lunch in La Victoire in a group of 9 organised by a tour operator. The welcome was perfunctory at best, although the restaurant was virtually empty. The allocated room looked out onto a busy road junction. The food was basic (Tunisian 'brik' to start, a grilled fish with rice and carrots, and ice-cream with half a strawberry on... More

We visited La Victoire as a party at lunchtime and were hurried upstairs to a big room crammed with tables all full of other coach parties. As a previous reviewer has said it seems to have done a deal with a number of tour operators and the result was a restaurant so busy, stuffy and noisy that I couldn't wait... More

This hotel seems to have a deal with certain tour operators. The food is average and the waiters are almost nice. The setting is not bad and it seems popular even to locals.
