Came to Gabbys cafe on good Friday, I had pancakes which I ordered with ice cream and blue berries, for an extra $3 I got maybe 10 blueberries. There was not enough staff on so my pancakes came out with melted ice cream and maple syrup was all dried up. Would not come back, staff were friendly though.

Waited for 20 minutes before we could get served, despite our attempts to be noticed. Wait staff were incompetent and rude. We then waited for ONE HOUR for a couple of croissants and eggs on toast to come, that when arrived were below average to say the least. Considered getting up and walking off on numerous occasions.

Saw a couple of places that offered two (2) eggs, bacon, toast, hash browns, sausage, grilled tomato and mushrooms or beans. This place was cheapest. The waiter was quick and courtesy. Ordered the Lot eggs over easy. The meal presentation was nice. The eggs were hard fried. Bacon good, tomato cooked good justriest not a good flavor (grower), mushrooms were... More

Food wasn't great, it was just not good enough. Staff was the example of bad waiters. Food was slightly overpriced too.

The location is good, just across the road from the beach. The inside of the cafe is quite old and dingy looking but the outside eating area is pleasant. Service is OK. Servings are generous but we were disappointed with the quality of the food for the prices charged. Fish and chips came with lemon and tartare sauce but no... More

This café is tied in with the restaurant Il Puntino next door but the menus are different and Gabby's appears to be a bit cheaper. Sit at any of the tables outside and providing there are no cars parked in the way you will enjoy a view over the iconic Bondi Beach. Meals are fairly basic but plenty of food... More

Views of Bondi beach and the headland. Friendly service although I had to stop the waiter from taking my drink before I finished it. We all ordered on the same table so when it came time to pay we asked to split the bill but this wasn't allowed we then saw the sign to say they don't split bills. That's... More

Had a lovely breakfast at Gabbys overlooking Bondi Beach. Great views, friendly service, food tasted great and came out quickly and all for a reasonable price.

Once the domain of backpackers, hundreds of tourists from all over the world descend en masse to Bondi in December ready to enjoy the "Aussie summer". Bondi Beach boasts impressive ocean views all along the many restaurants and bars on Campbell Parade. Stroll through the Saturday organic markets in North Bondi or grab some fish and chips and relax in the grassy area opposite the beach. For more upscale cuisine, head down to Hall Street where a range of new eateries have recently opened. Just make sure to save enough energy for the buzzing nightlife Bondi Beach has to offer.
