The atmosphere was quite, relaxing and French. The food was wonderful, best Duck a la Orange ever.....the Waitress, Marion was a gem, friendly, attentive, professional and wonderful service. The chef Alexis cooked wonderful with the sauces perfect for the Duck and the seafood crepe. The French wines were also very good. Highly recommend this restaurant, good value for money.

You can judge a French restaurant by its bread. Bistro des Artistes has the best. Shark bay prawns are excellent.

We had lunch today at Bistro, where is everyone. Only six other people in the restaurant. They have two courses for $47, three courses for $54 or a la carte. If like us you have had two courses, dessert adds on $7, if you do a la carte all desserts $15, same desserts. We had a choice of seven entrees,... More

We went to Bistro des Artistes on a Saturday evening and were surprised to find that it was virtually empty - just us and one other table. You'd think that having just two tables to look after, the service would be outstanding, however it was far from it. Upon sitting down, we ordered sparkling water and wine, then had to... More

Bistro des Artiste has been around for a while now and proves reliable for good french cafe style food and good service. Wine list offers value with some careful choice.

Well, you can have local fame, get on TV, and then let your Subiaco restaurant fall to pieces it seems. We went here the first week of January 2017. Had the crepes as an entree, and they were salty beyond being edible, and I am a salt fiend. The mains, a steak, and the fish. The steak, so-so cut, served... More

2 years ago we had our staff Christmas do at Bistro des Artistes. Both the food and the service were wonderful. 2 weeks ago it was a different story ... Uninterested waiter, slow service, small serves of average quality. I immediately wrote an email to management but they have not taken the time to write back. Extremely disappointed! Sorry Bistro... We enjoyed an excellent lunch at Bistro des Artistes last week. This is a small and popular bistro facing onto busy Hay St, which can be a little bright in summer for some tables at the front. Parking is not too far away, e.g. Seddon St carpark behind. Decor is clean and the service was attentive and friendly throughout. The... More

Went to Bistro des Artistes for a family dinner. We all chose the "$79 for 3 courses (including complementary cheese, pre-dessert and hot drink with petit fours". - Appetiser. The appetiser was placed on the table with no explanation of what it was, the waiter quickly walked away. - Entrée. Charcuteries board, carpaccio and escargot's profiteroles were all good, particularly... More

Had a very nice meal. Front of house staff needs attention. Was a bit offputting to some of my guests.
