Visited this lovely pub for Sunday lunch. We were pleasantly surprised with the very good service and great food. The Sunday lunch menu is very good value and the various roasts appreciated by us all. We'll return if we're in the area again.

I've sat outside in the sunshine many times over the years looking back up to the surrounding mountains after a long walk, it makes that first beer taste so much better. Great eating place as well, a bit pricey but I would say you get...More

Wouldn't walk it after dark, great walk in the summer months takes me just under an hour. Taxis varies on time. I can get a taxi to Keswick at 7pm for around £10 and that was a 6 seater. But then at 1-2am it's about £13-15.
