Tyler, Tx

I plan to visit Tyler, Tx sometime this summer. What are some good BBQ spots to eat? Things to do? If anyone is from there, what are some recreational/family friendly things locals do out there? I'd like to go horseback riding or visit a stable and actually be able to get near the horses. Is there a ranch that allows that? Maybe a one time riding lesson? I'd also like to see a horse show. We're planning our trip during the weekdays, not weekend. What's the best hotel(clean rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff, free wifi+cable, maybe breakfast?) at a reasonable price.

Hi Joan, and welcome to TripAdvisor forums

This forum is about multi-state or multi-country road trips.

For your tourism in Tyler, I recommend that you post directly on that forum. https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowForum-g56797…

Unfortunately, that forum is very very quiet with just one or two threads each year. You might just peruse the Hotels and the Restaurants on that page.

You also might want to post on the Texas state forum.
