LOL. Note that BC has opted out. The only Canadian cities under consideration right now are Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal. Who knows if we are all going to be talking to each other by then anyway....

Or if the US and Canada will still be frenemies. Hopefully you'll still be welcome in Cascadia.

Can't see Mexico wanting to be all that cooperative either. Its going to take a long time to heal this one.

Lots can change in 8 years, and btw, given the usually hike hotel prices I’ll be looking for my TA friends here for some free digs............... think Mini lives near Santa Clara!? 😉

BC had already pulled out in March and was due to "...perceived uncertainties about the costs, potential stadium changes - like a temporary grass field- and security."

One of Canada Soccer's own senior official was quoted:

" Negotiating with the BC NDP is like negotiating with the Beverly Hillbillies."

So this decision was hardly a reflection on current events.

And as far as Mexico is concerned I think that country will go out of their way to host a World Cup match, just a funny feeling I have.

It really doesn't matter anyway which cities are involved as the 2026 World Cup is already projected to set attendance records breaking the 1994 WC (which was held in the U.S.) Any city even thinking about it probably knows it going to cause some serious headaches and travelers would be very wise to stay away if soccer "isn't your thing".

I'd probably be more concerned if FIFA can keep their nose clean until then. :)

" Negotiating with the BC NDP is like negotiating with the Beverly Hillbillies."

that is about it; because just like Jed Clampet they were not buying the bs from the FIFA mafia.

and I do not even support the NDP.

Glad we're travelling in 'odd' years, not even. Will stay home for my roadtrip that year!
