Today is my last day on the island! Overall, we had a great trip. We loved being able to walk everywhere. Staying across from Seven Stars, we felt was perfect for us. Being able to take a quick walk to the grocery store, Caicos Bakery, the beach and all of the restaurants, was awesome.
My favorite meal was definitely at Coco Bistro. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next night and ate at their food truck. I did enjoy my meal at Caicos Cafe, but have to admit I was uncomfortably warm and decided to eat the conch chowder. That didn't cool me off. I can't say enough good things about the Caicos Bakery. We bought pastries in the morning for breakfast and often a sandwich for lunch.
Grace Bay was phenomenal. We walked at least 3 miles every day and saw dolphins twice (once JoJo and then a small pod of 3 dolphins). We enjoyed how friendly the workers on the beach were and how they didn't pester you if you said you weren't interested in a tour.
We felt completely safe. We live in a city and are used to taking precautions. The house we were renting had an alarm system which added to my comfort level. We also weren't shocked by the prices. Maybe it's living in the Northeast, but dinners weren't more than what we spend on a nice dinner at home.
We're having our final dinner tonight at Le Bouchon.
