We are looking to rent a lakeside cottage at the end of July/start of August. Not sure what it will be like bug wise at a lakeside place, any tips? Also any general ideas on where to stay in the park, our preference is for lakeside with access to bike trails.

August better than July big wise. But still bring the good bug spray. I am British and they seem to love us.

Not only British Bog I am also a magnet for bugs while my mother, sitting right beside me is not so much bothered by them!

OK now I would pick Grand Lac Monroe beacuse it is the closest one to the Mont-Tremblant resort where you might want to spend a few hours, there is even a small casino there!

Also it is a ggod place to stock on food in the supermarkets in the Saint-Jovite sector.

Their small (for two) very modern chalets seems very nice but I don't know which ones are fronting a lake so get in touch with SEPAQ to know more: https://www.sepaq.com/pq/mot/index.dot?language_id=1
