Hi Ben, you can rich Zabljak by bus from main bus station or by private transfer www.monttravelers.com always the best choice.

By the way, from Podgorica airport to rhe main bus station you can take bus for 2euros each. Cheers!

It is really easy to travel within Montenegro by buses Barbara. They generally do run on time and will get you from PG to ZB with no problems at all. There are several buses a day on this route.

Transfers are not necessary.

We are thinking of doing the same journey. How was the trip? How long did it take to get from the Podgorica airport to Zabljak? The Durmitor National Park looks wonderful. Were three days sufficient?

Thank you for any views, tips and observations you can offer - or anyone else.

In May, there will still be a lot of snow at higher altitude. The weather also is unpredictable.

From someone currently in Zabljak:

It has been a really great start to the year so far and quite a lot of the snow has melted away. Major peaks are not reachable but there is still more than enough to fill a week long stay if you have the time.

We are currently having beautiful sunny days of 15degrees forecasts have been predicting rain but we have hardly gotten any.

Podgorica to Zabljak is a really easy and straight forward drive (via Niksic).
