My friend and I are looking to plan a trip to the Seattle area for some outdoor fun (probably late summer). The plan is to do a 3 to 4 day hike, while camping in the park each night. We can probably average 12-18 miles per day, depending on the terrain.
We did this once on a section of the Appalachian trail. We were able to find a place to park that offered shuttle rides to our starting point, and then we hiked back to our car. Does anyone know of something like that in, or around, Mount Rainier National Park? Or maybe Olympic National Park?
Otherwise, we could hike a loop. Hoping some of you could offer some great suggestions on a hiking path. We're skilled (enough - both eagle scouts) in hiking and camping, and can handle moderate to difficult terrain. We're traveling quite a ways to get here (coming from Wisconsin) so we want to get the biggest bang for our buck, (so don't be afraid to suggest something difficult if its going to have a big payoff, that kind of what we're looking for).
Any tips or suggestion you can offer would be much appreciated. Thanks!Edited: 07 June 2018, 23:25
