Beach Hopping - itinerary Suggestion

Staying 8 days at Bucuti/Tara on Eagle Beach. One one of the days, I'd like to go beach hopping with my wife to check out the different beaches. Starting at 8:30am and finishing up at happy hour at Bugaloe Bar at 4:30pm Here is what I have planned. I omitted the Natural Pools because of the logistics/time to drive etc getting there.

30 min @ Mangel Halto Beach

60 min @ Baby Beach (time to relax, read, take sun)

15min @ Bachelor's Beach (Quick stop) no thing about it

2 hours @ Boca Grandi / Tortuga Beach Bar for Drink and Lunch (Relaxation time)

60 min @ Fotnein Caves / Boca Prins Beach (Drinks at Bar)

30 min @ Dos Playa

60 min @ Bugaloe Bar (Drinks)

Anything not worth going to? or missing an ideal beach to see? - Thanks for input

The only beaches I would go to there are maybe Baby Beach. Mangel Halto if you plan on snorkeling. If you want to see the Arikok National Park, I MIGHT get out of the car to give the other beaches a quick looksie. I'd rather spend more time at Arashi Beach and/or Malmok and Boca Catalina. Those are up past the high rise hotels. I have been to Aruba 8 times now and have had my fill of Baby Beach for the most part. I dont really go there anymore. I like beaches that have good snorkeling. For me that is Mangel Halto and Malmok or Boca Catalina. Arashi is decent too.

I thought that considering the long drive, Baby Beach was nothing special. Together with an afternoon in San Nicholas, which is a cool town to explore is fine. But to take almost a hour each way with traffic, just for the beach, it's not worth it.

Without question you should include Boca Catalina. Beautiful area, great snorkeling.

Thanks for the suggestions. Maybe I need to reconsider and head up north.

If you want to go to Baby Beach and Mangel Halto, add in a stop at Charlie's Bar in San Nicholas....around noon. Its a great place to grab a beer and meet some interesting folks!

Everything you listed is worth a visit. We enjoy and go to most of these places each trip. Although, we would go over 2-3 half days +/-, in your case, while you are taking on a lot to do it all in one day, it’s doable.

For what it’s worth, Batchelor is really sort of an extension of Boca Grandi, and the Caves, Boca Prins, and Dos Playa are in Arikok National Park, requires a fee to get in there. You can go in the park from the South Vader entrance, by the windmills, and come back out the main entrance heading back north in Santa Cruz.

Have fun and enjoy!
