walkway

someone burnt part of the walkway to pm beach last night. So there is no access to pm beach from plantation beach and there is a cruise ship in with 1800 people on it so the only way to get there is taxi or water taxi.

Saw that earlier today. That sucks--we'll be there in 2 days & makes things more than a bit inconvenient (amazing how quickly we get used to a "new" normal)! Maybe we'll have to hail your "yacht" on the way by.

saw a photo of the damage on ins and outs facebook page. SO sad that someone chose to vandalize the walkway that many worked so hard to build. Glad it did not do more damage, from the photo it looked like it certainly could have.

local thinking is that the damage was done by an aggrieved taxi driver.

Walked that way today not realizing what had happened. Someone has placed a wood plank over the damaged bit. Probably not the safest, but we managed to get across in one piece.

What a shame about the walkway:(...we were looking forward to using it on our upcoming trip.

Also, you mentioned cruise ship in port, do you know what days of the week they usually visit?

Thanks

On the other hand, walking up and down using the road is a great workout!
