Anything compare to Grace Bay?

Hi all! This is probably a silly question, but if you were looking at a location other than Grace Bay, where would you look? We have visited 3 times and my husband would like to travel somewhere else! I know, he's crazy! He thinks there is too much of the world left out there to explore, which I agree with, but it's GRACE BAY!! I am just afraid if we go somewhere else I will be disappointed. T&C was our first Caribbean destination. Did we pick the best of the best with our first trip, with nothing else even coming close? We are looking at May travel for the 2 of us-celebrating 26 years of marriage. We have stayed at the Verandah, RWI, and OCW to give you an idea of what we may be looking for. Thanks!

I would suggest Anguilla, or the out islands of the Bahamas. We've strayed from Provo a few times visiting St Maarten and St John, but we always come back to Provo. We did spend a day on Anguilla while visiting St Maarten which was very nice and reminded us of Provo. In fact we were trying to swing our upcoming vacation, first 2 weeks of April, to spend 1 week in Anguilla, then fly to Provo for the second week, just couldn't get the logistics correct from Anguilla to a place where Intercaribbean Air flies to Provo. The closest would have been San Juan but at the time we were looking we'd have to leave Anguilla a day early, so we just decided 2 weeks in Provo.

We are going to Turks this weekend but Anguilla is so beautiful and safe !! Also some of the beaches in Cuba are surreal, marvels as one of the nicest beaches I have ever seen.

I would also suggest Anguilla. We celebrated our 20th there and really loved it. There are many different beaches to explore and the food was so yummy. Also, there is a great music scene on island...on Sundays you can hit so many different beach bars and listen to a variety of performers. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Another vote for Anguilla. So many beaches too little time. Bermuda is great too. Pink sand beaches, riding around on scooters, awesome .

I understand that many forum regulars and DE's have built in biases, but of course there are other places that compare favorably. Much as I have used Dr. Jim's advice before and with much respect, but that is just a silly answer, IMHO. Grace Bay is a lovely stretch of beach with some of the most beautifully colored water I have ever seen, but the very notion that nothing compares with it is really absurd at face value. For instance, I would argue that while the beaches and bays of Provo are some of the nicest, the land is simply dreary looking. For the most part it is flat, scrubby, arid, and just not very attractive, especially when compared to to more lush, topographically diverse places like St. John or St. Lucia, for instance. Also, while the diving is first rate, the shore snorkeling is very limited. Also, need I point out, the island is having serious issues with crime right now. I loved my trip to Provo, would definitely go again, but for me there are clearly many other beautiful islands that are not to be brushed aside. I have only been to a relative handful (TCI, Jamaica, USVI, BVI, Bahamas, St. Lucia), and of those there are equally beautiful spots, and I have not been to so many others I have heard great things about, like Anguilla, Nevis, Bonaire, etc.

Anguilla 2x - Cap Juluca, CusinArt or Four Seasons would be my choices

Provo >24x

Anguilla is the only island we have repeated since discovering TCI.

Happy to read all of the nods towards Anguilla since it's our next stop.

We like Aruba, but we LOVE Grace Bay and Provo. Traveling to Aruba since 2007 and Provo since 2010. If you ask us name our top 5 favorite island:

1. Provo

2. Provo
