Thinking of Bahamas late September ,anyone been and would they recommend it or is it a bad idea ?
Well it's not a bad idea, Late September is a slow time, so no big crowds, but some restaurants will be closed. The weather is the kicker. It will be hot, humid, and daily chance of thunderstorms. It might pour down for 2-3 hours were you are, but two miles away, not a drop. September and October are our peak time for hurricane season. But you'll have plenty of advanced warning if something serious is coming our way. Plus the airlines and major resorts are usually very open to aiding with travel plans if it's a serious storm. Worse case...if you get stuck...well that why there are hurricane parties.
