Vancouver Hotels with a View and/or Balcony

Hello!

I am still deciding about Vancouver downtown/harbor hotels and am experiencing huge sticker shock! I have a reservation at the Metropolitan but continue to look for hotels that have a balcony and/or a view of the harbor that will not break the bank, The Westin Bayshore, Fairmont Pacific Rim, and the Pan are all out of our budget. Any rec. would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

You may want to check out Park Inn or Holiday Inn on W Broadway. It should be a bit cheaper than waterfront hitols in Downtown. If you get a room that is north facing and on 4th floor (or above), you will have an amazing city, night and mountain view. For a water view, you will need to go a bit higher.

Having that said, a north facing room at Park Inn will also face W Broadway, so it will be a bit noisy.

Blue Horizon has views from upper floors especially. The rooms also have balconies. Good location. In this review from 2013 I have posted photos from our corner room on the 30th floor. Photos are at the bottom of the review.

Sutton Grand Residences have balconies but not much of a view. Sylvia has great views but no balconies. Sylvia is older but wonderful location.

If it helps, remember you'll be paying in Canadian dollars.

...and you want to know the real meaning of sticker shock, try booking a hotel in downtown Chicago and then paying in Canadian dollars :D

Have you looked at the Pinnacle at the Pier at Lonsdale? South facing, so harbour view, but the mountains are behind you.

Agree that the views from the west facing floors at the Blue Horizon are amazing. You are looking across English Bay towards the islands, so not the mountains, but still fantastic.

Pinnacle at the Pier is a construction site. Wedgewood has balconies. Sandman on Davie has balcony, view and more.

BTW, add 15% tax to sticker shock.

The Pinnacle at the Pier Hotel is beside a construction site. Permitted construction hours are M-F - 7 am to 8 pm, Sat - 9 am to 7 pm, prohibited on Sundays and Statutory holidays. Sleep and eat in peace.
