Hi all! We are arriving at Vancouver late night of Fri 6/29 and will leave afternoon of Tue 7/3 so we have 3.5 days to spend there.

Below is our plan - can you please review and see if it makes sense? And which area do you recommend us to stay at? Thanks!!

Day 1- groused mountain and suspension bridge. Day 2- Victoria and the garden.

Day 3- whistler.

Day 4(half day)-We plan to check out different districts of Vancouver(Stanley Park, art galley, Yale town, granalle) on a bike.

You should stay downtown, that is if there are any rooms left. It is the height of the cruise season, and you will be here during the weekend Canada Day celebration. If you don't have your hotel yet, you better get one before you decide where and what you want to see. Let us know where you will be staying and we can then advise you.

Trying to do Victoria and the gardens on a day trip will more than likely wear you completely out. Figure on at least a 10 hour + day or more.

Stay downtown. You will be paying big bucks to get a room at this late date. Availability is really tight for the summer. This map shows you downtown:

Day 1 is fine. There is a free shuttle for each attraction. Check the respective websites for Cap and Grouse for their route and schedule. You could end the day in Gastown at one of the many pubs and restaurants, after spending an hour exploring the area. Do not go too far east into the Downtown Eastside, or you will be negatively affected. Stay west of Cambie St.

Day 2. Landsea Tours would be a good choice. It takes 4 hours o go one way, so in all, you are looking at a 13-14 hour day. The tour is considered good from all the reviews. And book directly with the company. Avoid those Viator Tour Products that you can find in the listings. You do not need a third party booker between your and the tour. Viator have proven to be too unreliable at this point to put much faith in them yet.

Day 3. There are commercial coaches to go to Whistler but you would have more flexibility and freedom if you rented a car for this day.

.

I might use booking.com or trivago.com to sort out hotel options, see what they are showing. Then use the hotel's own website to see what availability there is and to book.
