About 7 hrs - too much for one day & missing out on all that you pass by.
I drove plettenberg to cape town last year going via the n2and it took 5 1/2 hours. So you can di it in one day but it is less scenicthan the r62 route
Hi, 7 hours is closer to the nail with regards to drive time (especially for tourists who stick to the speed limit ;) I would break the journey, stopping in Oudtshoorn for the night (after driving the R62 which is way more scenic than the N2 from Cape Town to George). CT to Oudtshoorn is a day's drive (5-6hrs although I do it with 1 short stop in around 4.5 hrs) if you add in photo stops, and lunch for an hour or so, and Ronnie's sex shop stop etc. Plett is then a further 2.5 hours from Oudtshoorn.
