Walk from Agia Paraskevi to Kechria Monastery

Visting in July. Can anyone advise on the walk from the village to the monastery. How long (distance and time)? Is it an easy walk (esp in July!)? Is it easy to follow and/or is there a map available on line? Also interested in any other walks from Agia Paraskevi. Thanks in advance.

The best way to go is to go inland and turn left after the donkey sanctuary (ex donkey sanctuary that is) there is a lovely footpath to Ligaries Beach its then a short walk to Kechria Beach, from here there is a beautiful footpath up to the monastery through the Enchanted Forest.

This is not an easy walk, there is a lot of climb involved and you will need decent map reading skills, take a litre of water and buy another at the Ligaries Taverna, its probably 12 to 14 miles, time depends on your fitness levels and how long you spend in the Taverna. It is possible to make this into a circuit but it will add more climb and distance.

This is the best book to get for walks, some really nice (but hilly) ones from/around Agia P
