Walks around Grasmere

Hi, we're staying in Grasmere at the Oak Bank hotel soon(October). Can anyone advise any must do walks we can get from the internet please? I've copied Easedale Tarn from Trip Advisor. About 4-5 miles would be perfect. Thanks

Some thoughts

Alcock Tarn is a nice gentle round.

Loughrigg Fell is an easy hill with a great view and you could descend to Ambleside and get a bus back. Silver Howe is nice too.

There is an interesting path over to Chapel Stile past the surprisingly dramatic Megs Gill gorge with an easy return via the Red Bank Road or the path that cuts the corner

More adventurous but longer - the Far Easdale circuit - Helm Crag-Gibson Knott-Calf Crag-Sergeant Man-Tarn Crag and down.

If you get a really good day and feel like a longer walk, you can do Helvellyn via the Grizedale pass.

If the weather is not so good, they have recently opened a permissive path along the west side of the lake from the Red Bank road. You could link this to Loughrigg Terrace and continue to Ambleside.
