Greetings. We will be staying the night before in York. (We will have a rental car) The next day we will have limited time as we will have to start heading somewhat back towards London. Seeing how we might never be back to this part of the country we want to at least hit the "must see" locations. With such limited time would a drive in via Thirsk - Pickering - Scarborough vs just heading to Scarborough from York be worth the added time? I suppose we could always do York - Scarborough - Whitby - then Goatland - Pickering - Thirsk? Or we can leave after Whitby towards Middlesbrough.
Someone suggested that we skip the park entirely and dedicate more time to just York or Yorkshire Dales.(Day before we will be seeing Peak District and planned an entire day there.) Any help from those who know the area best is appreciated! Any must see locations that are not to be missed? Any amazing driving routes? THANKS!
