Hiway A 816 or Hiway 423 Oban-Lochgilphead

Hello--Is there an obvious choice between these two roads on this leg of a Glasgow to Oban drive? They seem to crisscross each other on my Google map. Looks like 423 takes longer--is it more scenic? Thanks in advance for guidance.

Ok, but I already answered your post about taking the A82 via Glencoe which scenery wise is absolutely stunning!!!!

Thanks again madscotsman--I only asked about the Lochgilphead route because a couple of posters on an older thread actually preferred it as an alternative to the Glencoe route I originally planned--coast vs. mountains etc.

I don't know where you are heading after Oban but as its on the coast then that satisfies that aspect so a slight detour through Glencoe covers the Mountains.

Google images of Glencoe, I think you will be sold!
