Catholic Links to St Andrews?

Hi,

My boyfriend is coming to Scotland for the first time for Alaska. His Catholic church is named after St Andrew, so naturally he is keen to visit the Scottish city. Does anyone know of any good Catholic church/historial sites or events going on in March?

Thank you!

You know there is no link between St.Andrew and the eponymous town in Scotland don't you? The local Catholic church is even named after St.James, not Andrew

It might make more sense to go here:

Well, he never went there, his relics (if genuine, which is probably unlikely) were kept in Constantinople and there is only the legend of St.Regulus to connect him to Fife, and he is the patron saint of at least 6 other countries, so a tenuous connection at best.

Still, it's a nice town.

Since it sounds like it will be a romantic trip, why not visit BLESSED John Duns Scotus in Glasgow, where, incredibly underplayed, are the remains of the one and only St. Valentine?
