Park and Ride Coming From Glasgow

We will be traveling from Falkirk on Tuesday morning early and want to park outside the city at a Park and Ride if possible. My husband doesn’t want to drive into the city which I fully understand. I Googked and found five different Park and Rides. Could someone tell me the name of the one I should stop at coming from Falkirk? We want to find the Hop On Hop Off Bus for the city.

Excuse my mistakes, we have traveled for 5 weeks and are ending up our trip. We will be driving from Falkirk and want to go into Glasgow from a Park and Ride close by.

What were the Park and Rides that google threw up?

P&R’s take many forms, some are simply a free car park next to a Suburban Train Station, that applies to a lot more than 5.

This is a tough one, as coming from Falkirk, the only one that springs to mind is Stepps.

You would come off the M80 at Junction 3, swing round the Dolly Parton Roundabout onto Cumbernauld Rd, take a Left at Bannatynes Gym and 400 yds along is Stepps Station, Train into Glasgow Queen Street Station.

Directly opposite the Station on the other side of George Square is the HoHo start point.

Croy train station has a huge car park. Frequent trains to Glasgow and back. Right side of the city from Falkirk too.

True Ale, but it will be more expensive on the train.

Off peak return from Stepps is only £3:50.

£4:90 from Croy.

It also depends where they want to go after.

The first 3 are at subway stations in Glasgow and not at all convenient from Falkirk.

The other 2 are nowhere near Glasgow.

Is that what google throws up? Good old google!

The last two are in Fife, in the opposite direction from Falkirk to Glasgow!!!

The others as Kenko says are attached to the Glasgow Subway and are on the wrong side of Glasgow for you.

However, if you take the M80>M73>M74 you would come right off at Shields Rd Subway.
