I will be in Galway this week with my three kids (6-10) and want to bring them to see some trad music during lunchtime if possible - can anyone recommend any where that has lunchtime sessions or are they just in evenings? Thanks

When I was there a few years ago, the music started early enough in the evening, not super late. Just understand that the bars are very small so your kids need to be ready to find a spot to stand out of the way to avoid getting josseled by bar patrons. The Crane had upstairs music when I was there which was awesome! I found from 3 trips so far, that Galway city has the most trad sessions to enjoy. We shall see on trip #4 coming up in 6 weeks!
When we were there a year ago, there were also many street performers (they were excellent!) all along Shop St and High St.
