Cycling Alsace

Staying in Colmar and considering perhaps picking up a bike in Kayserberg and cycling to Riquewihr Hunawihr etc and back for a day. Have been trying to find online map of cycling pThs in the area but not having much luck. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Also open to suggestions of other places to visit in the area. Many thanks

www.tourisme-alsace.com use the search engine to ask for cycle routes from Colmar.

You can also cycle to EGUISHEIM, then if you like a challenge up to Husseren les Chateaux!

You can hire a bike from vélodocteurs just by the train station.

Most cycling options in the area are not on dedicated cycle paths, but on small local and agricultural roads.

A (not very detailed) official Alsace cycling map is at https:/…carte-itineraires-alsace-a-velo.pdf

A useful site for free detailed mapping is https://www.opencyclemap.org/

https://www.geoportail.gouv.fr/carte doesn't has cycling information, but has very detailed topographic maps which show all the small roads useful for cycling (there are different maps available, I prefer "cartes IGN classiques").

Besides that, there are also paper cycling maps which you can buy.
