Quiet side to Ibiza?

We have never been to Ibiza before and have seen on various websites/programmes etc that there is a lovely quiet side to Ibiza. We would love to discover this, so could anyone please advise us as to which part of the island to book a villa as we, including my 78 year old mother, would love to go next year.

Island:

A good place is Santa Eularia des Riu, which has good stores and a good beach.

Anywhere north of Santa Eularia would be a good area. Lots of quiet tucked away villas up there. Also consider the Agrotourismo Hotels service included and cheaper than a villa. Small and intimate and very quiet. Here is a suggestion for one www.canplanells.com and there are many more in that style dotted all around the Island.

Thank you all. That sort of area sounds ideal to us, so will now start looking at the various types of accommodation available.

Would put forward an area in the centre of the island around Santa Gertrudis, some lovely villa's in this area, and we stayed at a lovely farmhouse a few years back. Some excellant restaurants in Santa Gertrudis and Tapas Bars. You are in the middle of the island only 30/45 mins to any point.

Another area is the coastline between Es Cubells and Cala D'Hort, again plenty of villa's/houses available in this area, also the ability in many to sit on your terrace and experience glorious sunsets.

Well away from clubbers and Families (santa eulalia is the main family resort)
