We will be visiting Sagrada and want to go up the tower. Does it matter which tower we go in?
Neither is great at this time due to construction taking place. I would go to Park Guell or Castell Montjuic for great views of the City. Other fine views of beauty can be had from Tibidabo, Montserrat & the roofs of several high buildings, including Hotels, if you can get their agreement tt go to their top floors or roof areas.
I am sorry I will be arriving August 15. When will construction end?
Construction ending on this fine organic structure. Perhaps never. But I believe there is a schedule.
I agree with Anthony that the tower views while still great are at times obstructed by construction 'stuff' but that didn't stop us from enjoying the Nativity facade tower.
The exterior facades are much better to study than getting up a tower.
The beauty of the Sagrada Familia is appreciated from the entrance walking in all it's interior. It's amazing, spectacular, wonderful!!. It's not necessary to climb any tower.
I booked my family for nativity facade for our visit in 2 weeks. I chose nativity after reading it was designed by Gaudi himself as opposed to passions tower and also that there is a ‘bridge’ for nice views. I did show the pictures of the staircase to my family (hubby with knee issues and teen and preteen) to make sure they are all on board to come down the staircase, which I knew my daughter and I would love, but wanted to make sure the other two were ok. Everyone was excited to, so we are signed up. Take a look at some google images and read about the towers and see if that interests you.
