Camino Frances

I’m curious about whether the last 100 km of the Camino Francés (Sarria to Santiago) is a good way see the Galicia region of Spain. Do you get to really experience Spanish culture along this route? What types of things can you experience? Is there much to see in the towns along the way (in terms of churches or other interesting architecture, small local museums or shops, etc.) or are they mostly places to eat and sleep?
