Single Tickets or Travel Pass?

Hi, I will be in travelling on a Sunday in October, and the plan is to go from Zurich to Buama to take the steam train to Hinwil, back to Zurich and travel to the rhine falls on the same day:

1. Zurich -> Buama (Train + Bus via Wetzikon)

2. Buama -> Hinwil (Steam Train CHF20)

3. Hinwil -> Zurich (Direct Train; need to pick up suitcases at zurich station)

4. Zurich -> Schloss Laufen am Rheinfall (Train)

Is there a travel pass or travel card that would make my journey cheaper? (I'm not expecting the travel pass to cover the steam train ride)

Many thanks in advance!

Thank you so much for your recommendation! Just want to make sure, if I got the 9 o'clock day pass, I don't need to buy any train tickets and I can just hop on the train? It sounds like a great deal.

Do I need to purchase the day pass in advance or just at the train station on the day I travel?

Many thanks!

Just buy on the day from a ticket machine. No other tickets required. Just hop on and off all day. Remember to keep within the zones particularly when visiting the Rhine Falls as Schaffhausen is not included.

See ticket machine simulation.
