Hello, can we find available taxi outside the cruise ship terminal at Amsterdam to take us to the airport? Or do we need to prebook a taxi to pick us at the cruise ship terminal?
There will be some, but not like 30+. Pre-book an Uber, tell them how much luggage you have.
Yes plenty of taxis whenever a ship is there.
If more ships are in port, expect a line to get a cab.
>> Pre-book an Uber, tell them how much luggage you have.<< How do you do that then Sunny?
You also can't really pre-book an Uber. They trick you into thinking you can but it is a bit of a con as all they do is send an alert to drivers at the time you specified. You might as well just do it yourself at the time.
You also can't specify how much luggage you have.
Globetrotter, where are you going to in a cab?
Well shuck my corn Ron. My Big Bad. I was under the obviouly totally incorrect impression that a selection related to vehicle size was available. Cannot imagine where I got that from....
I just got off a cruise ship and there were plenty of taxis. Do not use TAT as they drove us around the city to increase the fare.
As in post #2 whenever there's a ship there are always plenty of taxis. It was crawling with them today. There wouldn't be any if there's no ship, but then you wouldn't be there either.
You can't drive in a straight line from A to B in Amsterdam, even when on a map it looks like there are roads. I'd say it's impossible to tell for someone who's not used to driving in the center whether the taxi is taking a detour or the best possible route.
#7 I stayed several days prior to the cruise and I know I was taken for a long ride.
