Bars open over the Christmas Period

Having spent many happy weekends in Antwerp I have been thinking of spending Christmas there this year and wondered if anyone knew if there are any bars open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day?

There are always bars open, especially around the Christmas markets that bring in visitors. But you presumably know that Christmas Eve is when the locals have their Christmas dinner, so most restaurants open that night will be serving an expensive multi-course fixed menu for which you would have to book.

Only Christmas Day itself is a public holiday in Belgium - and this year it falls on a Sunday anyway; so government offices, but not (necessarily, at least) shops and restaurants, will be closed on the Monday.
