There are Christmas or Winter markets in both, and both start on 25/11 this year, but they aren't as traditional or, therefore, as Christmassy as in Germany. The one in Brussels extends from the Bourse (near the Grand' Place) to the former fish market at St. Catherine, with about 240 stalls; it always has a guest country or region but they haven't announced which one it is for this year (last year it was Morocco) - you can check the website later in the year - http://www.plaisirsdhiver.be/ . The one in Brugge is a lot smaller and takes place in S.Stevinplein and Markt (Market Square).
