We're staying at Villa d'oro which is near Paliouri at the end of May. We are happy to hire a car as we know the resort is remote but wondered how easy it is to get taxis for if my husband wants to have a drink with a meal on an evening?

Are the roads quite scary for a UK driver?

Roads are not scary , unless the place you will stay at is situated at a very remote area and bad lit . Taxis are easily accessible by phone if you are staying out of town/village.
