Allowed to bring dried snacks/nuts?

We are visiting Iceland for the first time this summer and was wondering if I am allowed to bring in dried nuts/granola bars/peanut butter, etc. Heard food was outrageous and plan to eat out most of the time, but thought bringing some heavy snacks would be helpful.

Not thinking fresh fruit.

Any thoughts?

Jenn

Yes, as long as they are in their original packaging and ingredients are listed that should not be a problem.

Like trail mix or snack mixes etc? Yes you can bring that kind of thing. I brought 3-4 different dry snacks plus a bunch of Clif bars. I was there for 15 days so it all came in handy. :)

To save money you can also stop at the grocery and pick up Icelandic snacks. I look forward to digestives (which I know are not Icelandic) and the prince candy bars.

Our grocery stores have all those things--granola, peanut butter, snacks.

Thanks! Just wanted to ask before packing them. It seems like I have the luggage space and are there for 2 weeks with 4 of us so figure they will get eaten : )
