Seems like they are still taking bookings so I presume they are just making sure tourists are spread out into different areas so they abide by the gathering restrictions.

The locker rooms there are where I would be concerned about close contact

Thanks for posting this as we are had a trip planned for July and weren’t sure whether to cancel or not but we hear Iceland is opening its doors in June and are super excited. We have been reading this blog for tips on what to expect but still nervous. Once you are in Iceland and outside of the city the risk is probably lower than in many other countries as long as you stay away from other tourists at the sights.

The main risk will lie in getting there in my opinion.
