Surfing in Iceland

Is there any chance of surf in July or does swell only come in winter? I have read about surfing in the Reykjanes Peninsula at Sandvik. Is it possible to rent a board anywhere? Any surfers out there with suggestions or comments? Thanks

There is a chance to catch a wave in summer. A good place is the sandy beach near þórlakshofn which is not far from Hveragerði where the above mentioned company has its office. Prices exceed Morocco by, hm, very much.

As all weather issues in Iceland this absolutely unpredictable in long term
