Drive very steadily, Watch out for speed cameras . Careful where you park --- wardens are very diligent.

Be careful on roundabouts because it seems that the biggest vehicle assumes right of way.

And finally, When driving down a One Way street keep to the left to allow for the local drivers coming the other way !!

Echo Graham's words re driving.

Weather in April can still be unpredictable so swimming outdoors may not be possible as water too cold. Look for somewhere with an indoor pool.

Enjoy.

You will need an indoor pool as early as this in the year. The Kempinski in Gharb has one, but its not cheap.

Gozo is quieter this time of year. The island will still be green and is very scenic.

Driving - just be cautious and you will be fine. Common issues are tail gating, cars pulling out from left not really giving way and sporadic use of indicators!

Enjoy.

Been there a few times, going back end of March, never bothered with a car, as the bus service is regular, cheap gets you anywhere and is half the fun. Plus, it's not hardly a big island, so once in Victoria you can walk to your place of choice visit and bus it back, or vise versa. The Citadel is nice and great views. The church at Xewkija has a stunning interior. Ta' Pinu is also nice, but walk up the hill path opposite the entrance for an unexpected treat. The weather will be mid to late 60's and the water chilly. Go to Xlendi Bay and contact Utina Diving (see Neil and Sally) for a scuba 'try dive'. Walk as much of the coast as you can, it's beautiful.
