Go where lots of maltese go in the morning for something to eat.

The Crystal Palce Bar is actually in Rabat next to the car park neat the entrance to Mdina .

A couple of pastizzi , either ricotta cheese or pea plus a glass of tea / coffee will cost about one euro and will be very satisfying.

Gets very packed as it is very popular.

Or if you dont go to the crystal palace in Rabat then go to fontanella tea rooms in mdina the best chocolate cake in Malta is served there.

Do agree with graham tho over the crystal palace its easy to get too from mdina as rabat is next door and if you get the bus the stop you get off at is rabat just outside mdinas city walls,

They do the best patizzi in Malta and allways with packed with locals and regular visitors to Malta like graham and myself.
