Blue grotto and Marxaxlokk

Hi,

Our Cruise ship will be in VALLETTA for one day only on Saturday, 20Sept 2014

What is a Must see/do? We're fit and don't mind walking!

Is the Blue grotto and Marxaxlokk a must see?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

regards

Hi, Marsaxlokk is a traditional fishing village located in the south-eastern part of Malta, it is quite distant from Valletta (almost 1 hour by bus); The blue grotto is in the south coast of Malta (1 hour by bus)

In my opinion they're worth a visit, but also Valletta, Mdina and Rabat.

If you only have a day, then I highly recommend that you spend it in Valletta. There is so much to see and do a day is not really enough.

Hi,

Our first visit to Malta was by cruise ship for day last year. We loved it so much we returned this year for a 10 day stay. We based ourselves in Marsaxlokk which we really enjoyed.

If this is your first visit I would definately recommend spending it in Valetta. If you find you have seen everything you want then a visit to the 3 cities and if you have time, Fort Rinola. Very entertaining.

Malta is beautiful but getting around takes time, personally I would just prefer to take in Valetta's atmosphere.
