You have to go to a bureau de change.

ATM are not designed to be able to contain more than 3 different sorts of bills. Generally, it's 10, 20 and 50 €.

In many airports there is ATM who can choose what currency to receive.

To paraphrase "The Wizard of Oz" .."Toto,I don't think we're in Kansas anymore"...I have found over the years travelling that expecting things to be the same in x country as in y country is unrealistic.

I've seen dual currencies in some cities that are on borders, such as Basel (I think). I've never seen an ATM give out USD in Europe though.

I'll bet anything that ATM in Heathrow is not an "ATM" but an automated Bureau de Change. Travelex has these now, which makes sense, just automating an exchange bureau. So it isn't a bank and the rate will be marked up. They have these in many US airports, also, actually, but even though I think they may even put ATM on their label, they are not really bank ATMs. Just cuts labor costs, that's all. I've seen Travelx "ATMs" at some airport when I was leaving Prague or Krakow, forget which, but it was just an exchange bureau without people, where you could put in your local currency and get out euro or pounds or whatever at a huge cost. Not only was the exchange rate bad, but there was a fixed cost which made it really expensive for a small amount of money.

Bank ATMs in Europe generally dispense the currency of the county where they are located but there are some Travelex machines that permit you to obtain any of a choice of about 3 currencies. Someone asked a similar question last year on this forum. See travelex-corporate.com/EN/What_we_do/ATMs/

So what's the answer to the OPs question?

Is the Travelex multi-currency ATM at 2F stocked with USD as one of it's currencies or not?

There are multiple TRAVELEX ATMs at CDG where you can take out EUR/USD/GPB.

Here are the locations inside CDG terminals (departure zones) :

- Terminal 1, facing the accesses to satellites 2 and 4

- Terminal 3, international zone

- Terminal 2A, East and West sides

- Terminal 2E boarding lounge, Galerie Parisienne
