Travel from Rome to Minturno with a family of 5

Hoping for advice! Should we rent a car? Take the train? Private transfer? We will be staying in Minturno for a week planning day trips. Any other recommendations for day trips?

Thank you Karen

http://www.trenitalia.com/tcom-en Direct trains to Minturno-Scauri take less than 2 hours and cost 8,2 € per person, but you'll have to go from the station to your final destination.

http://www.viamichelin.com for routes, gas costs and driving times.

A private driver seems a waste of money, as you'll have to rent a car anyway for the day trips. Of course it depends on your budget and your driving skills in a foreign country.

Grazie! Do you feel driving in worse in Italy than Ireland? Is it difficult to get from the airport to the train?

I've never driven in Ireland, but I doubt they have many ZTL areas.

There is a train station at Fiumicino Airport called "Fiumicino Aeroporto", just enter it in the "From" field on http://trenitalia.com/tcom-en
