Trat Bus station to Battambang

Hi,

Whats the best route from Trat to Battambang? Is it best to purchase an evisa or just purchase one on arrival?

Take a bus or minibus to Chanthaburi. Then a shared pick up truck taxi to the border at Ban Pakard. Cross the border and take a shared taxi to Battambang.

Note that you can't use an Evisa at this border.

Yes Star. That can often happen at land border crossings. Just be prepared in case you come across one of the dodgy ones.

Not only likely but certain that you will be asked for 35 $.I have crossed into Cambodia at this border at least a dozen times and with one exception(I think because he remembered me) did that same glowering older guy say it was 35 $ now.I refused every time and after leafing through your passport a few times and giving you the evil eye, he relents quickly and accepts 30$, nothing like the Had Lek border where they make you wait for extended periods.Corruption plain and simple, the VOA is 30 $ period.
