We'll be in Dingle for three nights in February. Any restaurant and pub recommendations for that time of year? Thanks so much.
Murphy's is always open, also Geaneys.
Some restaurants may be closed, some only open two or three nights a week.
What sort of food are you looking for?
There is always food and music in town, very little back west.
Thanks so much for your response-we aren't fussy about food, just something tasty and not too expensive. We'd love to hear music in pubs, but are traveling with older kids (17 and 14). Are they allowed into pubs at all? expected to leave at a certain time? would be great to get recommendations for that time of year-
children under 18 are allowed in pubs that have food service and are to be out by 9:00 p.m in February...
Technically Oma is correct, but I have seen children this age sitting quietly at a table and listening to the music in Murphy's later than 9pm if the family has been in for a late meal, say 8pm, not sitting at the bar or being obvious. The marina pub has an early, 6pm, session on Sundays.
John Benny's is a good bet for music as the owner and his wife are musicians. They also do food and there would be no problem with the the younger ones staying on for the music, especially if you have eaten there
This is why I love tripadvisor! Thanks so much for the quick, thorough, informed and local information. We are really excited about our trip and this makes me even more eager to see Ireland.
You're welcome. Enjoy your trip[
