Mac Neans Bistro.

Hi,

Has anyone been to this restaurant lately ?

We were thinking of sending elderly parents for

dinner , bed and breakfast.

Is it still great ?

Thanks

We were there in mid Feb and stayed over in their accommodation - had to book something like 6 months in advance to get accommodation for a Sat night.

The food was fantastic but to be honest it was too much in terms of quantity. Something like 7 or 8 courses and when you are paying all in you dont tend to skip anything ! Obviously very rich food with lots of beautiful sauces etc. When we there, other diners were booking to come back and it was looking like nearly christmas to get a Sat night with accommodation. There is only one sitting per evening and as the restaurant can only hold maybe 50 or so it's no wonder it' such a wait. Breakfast is obviously fab too.

I wouldn't be sending my parents there purely because my father isn't a big eater and it would be a nightmare for him. Hope this is of help.
