NB: Scotland's new drink driving laws 2014

Take care and know the rules. Visitors to Gretna and the Borders (and Scotland) may be inadvertantly criminalised by the new drink driving law in Scotland. This was highlighed on BBC News today:

"If you go to the Gretna Chase Hotel this weekend and drink a pint before getting behind the wheel, you may want to be careful when leaving the car park. By turning left, you will continue your journey into England and, after a solitary beer, you will probably still be under the legal drink-drive limit. But if you turn right and drive for 20 yards over the Sark Bridge, you will have entered Scotland - and you may have just broken the law."
