how to get from doolin to ennis train station on a sunday?

We will be spending the last Saturday night of our July trip in Doolin. The rest of our tour group will be leaving early in the morning in the tour bus to catch flights out of Shannon. We will be going off on our own to Dublin and want to catch the 1pm-Ennis-to-Dublin train. What options do we have to leave Doolin at a later hour than the early-morning-tour-bus-departure-group but still in time to catch the 1pm train in Ennis? I checked the EireAnn bus schedules and, unless I'm reading it wrong for July 10, 2011, it looks like there are no buses on a Sunday??? Help!!! Thanks!

There appears to be Sunday services from Doolin - there's a bus on route 337 at 10.40am on Sundays which is scheduled to reach Ennis at 12.10pm which should be OK for the 1.00pm train. Note that you probably have to change trains twice to get to Dublin on this route - once at Limerick and again at Limerick junction.

As an alternative, you could take a route 50 service to Galway and take a train from Galway to Dublin, which is direct with no change of train required.

I would go with the Galway option.but nothing happens in Ireland much before mid day on a Sunday apart from Church.

Why don't you just take an earlier train to Dublin? I just checked the journey planner on www.irishrail.ie and there are trains from ennis to Dublin at 9:41 and 11:45. Both requires change at limerick

As Domhnall says, there is definitely a bus from Doolin to Ennis on that morning

Here is the link:http://194.106.151.94/jplan/bin/query.exe/en?seqnr=1&ident=4a.08988187.1308849019&OK#focus

The changes on the Ennis/Dublin train service at Limerick and Limerick Junction are not too much bother at all. Usually just a matter of crossing the platform.

However, I do think the suggestion of getting the bus to Galway and then a direct train to Dublin is a very good one, especially if you have heavy luggage.
