Boat trip

Hello I’m visiting Camogli this summer with my children and wonder if it’s better to get a boat trip to see Cinque Terre from the water rather than having to squeeze in with so many onland?

Thanks

1. Re: Boat trip

Boat trips from Camogli to the Cinque Terre are only on Saturdays. You are also shown the Cinque Terre coast on the Tuesday trips to Portovenere. http://www.golfoparadiso.it/en/lines/

You can also get trips from Rapallo traghettiportofino.it/en/lines-and-trips/ under ten minutes away from Camogli on the train (these trips also depart from Santa Margherita, but the boat dock is nearer the train station in Rapallo).

A boat trip would be fun and probably easy, though boats from Camogli could arrive crowded with passengers from Genoa. But you only get a limited time in the Cinque Terre. Going by train has very many more departure and return times and much more flexibility once you are there.
