No trains, just buses or taxis or Uber. Bus costs about the equivalent of about £4 each way, takes 45 minutes. Taxi 15 - 20 Euros, takes 20 minutes. Uber via their website app on your smartphone.

Buses run once or twice an hour on weekdays, every 1 - 2 hours at weekends and do not run late into the evening.

Main bus stop in Vilamoura is just outside the casino and the two Dom Pedro hotels, but there are others Bus times towards Albufeira www.algarvebus.info/002w.htm and coming back www.algarvebus.info/002e.htm

These buses do not go down into the Albufeira old town if that's where you are heading. Do NOT stay on all the way to the bus station as that is a mile outside. Get off (and back on) at the stop called Albufeira Continente/Modelo which is about 5 minutes walk down the hill into the old town.

You will probably also see various travel shops offering 'shuttles' to and from Albufeira. These must be pre booked.

Hope that helps.
