Is the Google Street View of the bus station. There is often a taxi waiting for a fare outside so if you feel like negotiating a price then this could be easiest otherwise it is quite a long walk up to the top of the hill and down again ! Fare should not be more than €6 or 7 I think. Funnily enough in the Google Street View you can see a waiting taxi.

There are local Micro buses that call into the bus station and they go through the old town and this would be a very good alternative. You would need to ask your hosts for some idea of the timings of this small bus that can pass through the narrow streets.

Don't take the other Urbano bus that is larger although it does go up to the top of Calle Corredera from where you can walk up the hill to Santa Maria church and continue.

Having said that the Urbano bus goes to the 'other side' of Arcos past the cliff following the river to Barrio Bajo and it may be easier to walk from here to your final destination up Calle de Matrera Abajo.

or you can just walk all the way !
